When you select a camping cot or any kind of camping bed you need to make sure it is going to fit inside of your tent. To do this just compare the specs on your tent to what the dimensions of the cots are and make sure there is a little more room so that there is space around both where your head will be and where your feet will be. For example the Ozark Trail camping cot is 6ft 2 inches long and the Coleman Sundome 4 person tent is 9’x7’ so it should fit Ok in that particular tent.

The camping cot from Ozark Trail weighs about 15 pounds and is made of steel instead of flimsy aluminum. While it is extended out it is about 6 ft 2 inches long and 2.2 ft wide and comes up a little over a foot off the ground. The maximum weight they recommend is 225 pounds but you can probably get away with using it even if you weigh a little more than that but you will be doing so at your own risk. It easily folds up and even comes with its own carrying case. It is recommended that you set it up a couple of days before using it and to leave it set up for a couple of days to let the material stretch out because the fabric is really tight. By letting the fabric stretch out for a couple of days it will make it easier to set up the cot and the fabric will be easier to pull over the bars. The material will cooperate a little better.
