Coleman tents is a leader in outdoor gear whether it is for camping beds, camping stoves or camping tents you are sure to not go wrong when you choose this tent brand.  With their Coleman Sundome tent line they outdid themselves again delivering a tent that features different sizes including this 2 man tent. The sundome tents come equipped with many of Coleman’s best features like the WeatherTec system that guarantees to keep you dry.

This 2 person tent is ideal for 2 campers looking for a reliable tent without too much extra space or someone looking for a one person tent who doesn’t want to be confined in a small bivy tent. It is only 7 feet by 5 feet so it will be hard to find an air mattress or camping cot that will fit very well in here but if you are fine with sleeping on the ground you will be fine with this tent. The center height is 48 inches so if you are looking for a tent to stand up in, this isn’t going to be it. You will want to find something with a bigger center height that accomodates the height you are looking for. It is very simple to set up and comes with only 2 tent poles that are shock corded and steel and it comes with its own storage bag for the poles and other parts of the tent so they don’t all get mixed into one bag. The instructions for the setting up the tent are sewn into the bag so unless you lose the bag you don’t have to worry about a gust of wind blowing them away or losing them.

The tent utilizes the Coleman WeatherTec and the Coleman Variflow system. The weathertec system uses inverted tent seams and water repellant materials to help keep you dry and keep any of that rainy weather from getting inside the tent.   The rainfly isn’t the best since it doesn’t keep the entire tent covered but it does an adequate job.  Variflow is meant to improve the overall air flow within the tent.

This 3 season tent will do best in conditions you know will be mild and dry.  If you think you will be camping in a place where you will see lots of rain you will want to make sure you take some more weatherproofing measures just to be on the safe side.  Overall, it makes a great inexpensive tent and will do well for campers who don’t go camping a lot and just need something for the occasional camping trip.
